Burgundy Grapefruits

It is the smallest fruit and it is believed that it also originated from the Thompson variety. It is a late variety that keeps on the tree until the beginning of summer in good condition. The yellow colour of its smooth rind does not correspond to the intense brown tone of the flesh. It barely has any seeds and its flesh is firm, very juicy, with a sweet flavour and not at all bitter. It is considered of inferior quality compared to other pigmented varieties, which is why it is barely cultivated nowadays.
