Cleaning Pruning

These are the set of pruning operations whose fundamental objective is the elimination of elements and formations that, for whatever reason, are undesirable in the tree; basically this involves removing:

  • Suckers, undesirable.
  • Dead, dry, diseased or damaged branches or parts of the tree.
  • Regrowth from the root, collar or trunk of the tree.
  • Badly oriented branches or those that tangle the crown.
  • Branches very close to each other or to the tree's axis.

All these operations are necessary in all trees, whatever their age, species or size. For the pruner, cleaning pruning must be practical and almost intuitive, always to be carried out on all trees.
