Environmental interest of the Paulownias
The paulownia not only absorbs ten times more carbon dioxide than any other tree in the world, it also emits large amounts of oxygen.
Fortunately, one of its characteristics is that it thrives in contaminated soils and waters, purifying the land of nitrates, nitrites, arsenic, heavy metals, etc.
The Paulownia is the tree of the future. Given its rapid growth and its many uses, these “lungs of the world” will play a very important role in the survival of humankind and in the regeneration of the planet. It survives fire thanks to its great capacity to regenerate roots and growth tissue. For forestry uses, P. Tomentosa is not usually used, but rather P. Fortunei and P. Elongata, and almost always hybrids between the two.
