The flower of the paulownia
The flowers of the Paulownias appear in early spring, in panicles 1 to 3 dm long, with a large corolla up to 7 cm, purple and with glandular hairs; it flowers, in the north, around mid-April, before the leaves bud. A good pruning is essential if you wish to enjoy its flowering. Pruning will always be done after flowering and will be light. If we prune hard we get large leaves but we eliminate the flowering. These flowers give a pleasant flavour to any salad.
Bees also love its flowers, and from them they make a sweet, light honey that seems to be the best in the world.
