Drinks with Lemon
['CITRUS LIQUEUR'] - ['Peel a LEMON, cutting small strips around it so they curl slightly. Put the peel strips, the juice, 12 thin slices of cucumber and ½ cup of Curaçao or Cointreau in a jug and finish filling with dry cava, adding plenty of ice cubes. Stir it all well and serve it. If you want it a little less strong, put less cava and an equal amount of soda.']
['HOT LEMON AND HONEY'] - ['A drink that soothes a sore throat. Peel 1 LEMON and squeeze its juice into a heatproof glass or jug, add a tablespoon of honey and the LEMON peel. Finish filling the glass with boiling water and let it rest five minutes before drinking it.']
['ICED MINT AND LEMON TEA'] - ['Prepare an iced TEA, preferably Chinese. Strain it and pour it into a jug. Add the peel of a LEMON, ½ LEMON cut into very thin slices and four sprigs of mint. Cover it and let it rest until it has cooled. Add sugar to taste and ice cubes before serving it.']
['BARLEY WATER WITH LEMON'] - ['Boil 3 tablespoons of pearl barley in a pot. Drain the barley and put it back in the pot, adding the peel of 2 lemons and 5 cups of cold water. When it starts to boil, lower the heat, cover it and simmer for 30 minutes. Once it has cooled, strain it and add the juice of 2 lemons with sugar to taste and serve well chilled.']
['ROSEMARY AND LEMON TEA'] - ['Peel 1 LEMON and put the peel in a hot teapot with a sprig of rosemary about 5 centimetres long. Add a tablespoon of TEA and fill the teapot with boiling water. Let it infuse for 8 minutes and then strain it and pour it into two cups. Add sugar to taste and serve with LEMON slices and sprigs of rosemary.']
['WHISKY AND LEMON PUNCH'] - ['This punch will relieve those annoying cold symptoms. Add whisky and honey to the juice of 1 LEMON until you fill about a third of a glass, and finish topping it up with boiling water. Drink it very hot.']
['QUICK SPARKLING LEMONADE'] - ['Boil LEMON zest, the juice of 3 lemons, ½ cup of sugar and ½ cup of water. Remove from the heat and add a few ice cubes to quickly cool the syrup. Pour it into a jug and top up with a well-chilled bottle of soda.']
['STILL LEMONADE'] - ['Peel 3 lemons and squeeze their juice. Put the juice, the peels and ½ cup of sugar in a pot and stir it with 5 cups of water. When it comes to its first boil, lower the heat and cover the pot, simmering for 30 minutes. Strain the lemonade into a jug and check the sweetness, adding sugar if you prefer. Let it cool well. When you are going to serve it, decorate with LEMON slices floating on the surface.']
