Growth of the clones

Although it can be reproduced by seeds, root cuttings and other vegetative propagation systems, the one used industrially is the division of meristems or micropropagation, with a view to cloning individuals selected for outstanding growth among their already fast-growing plantation companions. Uniformity in the plantation is also achieved.
