Water demand of the Paulownia

The normal water requirements are a large amount of water in summer, especially during the first 2 years of life. Compared with other trees, the Paulownia “saves” water: in a single growing season it can reach a great development, equivalent to that of other species over several years. It is also little sensitive to pests.

It is ideal for structuring the tree mass, producing a rapid plant cover and shade for large promenades. At present it is little cultivated in parks.
